Well, I've had my fair share of problems out of this pc. The most recent being that the face on the lid of the pc no longer lights up.. and the webcam stopped working..

Now, does anyone else have this problem or has anyone even heard of this happening? If so, how does one fix it?

It's a minor issue of course, but I miss seeing those gorgeous blue eyes lol.

Hit FN+F10 to toggle the Alienware head on/off.

Oh dang, you're good. Now, anyone know about the webcam and what I could've possibly done to make it stop working? lol

Is it giving you an error message o simply failing to respond?

It's failing to respond.. shows a gray screen, and the blue light doesn't even come on at all. According to the computer, everything is okay.

My first suggestion would be to try re-installing the drivers (just to be sure). I believe them m9700, like the m9750, uses BisonCam for its software. Just go to the alienware site, download it... give it a go. A driver may have gotten corrupt or a registry entry fubar.
