So, I won a contest for a m17x I believe R2 model based on specs from an alienware arena + Heroes of Newerth/S2 coin contest on May 9th this year...

Anyone know how long Dell would take on average?

2-3 weeks as list in the Dell Estimate Delivery Dates, but mine take 5 week at first, then change to 3 week.

It actually changing all the time, but the average is 2-3 weeks for if you configuring the laptop.

But in your case I think it will be already configure, so maybe 1-2 weeks or less.

Depends on the month and model.
Mine took 2 weeks to be ready-to-ship.

Depends on the options. Usually the EDDs are very accurate. I got my laptop 3 days after I ordered it.

Sometime it will just keep update the date all the time, like me, I order M14x on 11/Jun, then I receive a confirmation email stated the EDD will be on or before 7/Jul, but then when the status move from order receive to in production to update to 29/Jun, and now my M14x build is complete so now it update again to 24/Jun.

    So at first it's said:
    7/Jul then 29/Jun and finally 24/Jun.

My very first machine took literally almost 3 months, LOL! That was back in the old school first-gen m15x days.

The next machine took right at about two weeks I think.

The replacement R2 took about a month once the order was placed.

The replacement m18x took 20 days iirc.

What this guy says, except 2months, 3 weeks, 1 month, and the m18x doesn't apply to me.
