Did you burn it as an image or data CD? ;)
Anyway, try again and make sure to burn it as an image.

    Just did. Same result...

I used Express Burn, which also verifies the burn is successful. It burns .iso's.

Hmm, you can probably make a bootable USB stick with this image.

I figured it out guys, I just used the image burner built into Windows.

For some reason, Express Burn wasn't burning the image even though I was telling it to. If you guys didn't mention it, I wouldn't have even thought to check that again because I was telling EB to burn the image, not a data disc.

Good old W7 built ins FTW.

SO, what is the consensus on this bios? Did it fix the flickering issues?

Yep. It did. To all of us. But there is not much room for overclocking as the machine is near it's power limit as it is.

I bailed a while ago. lol

Too many issues with the Asus-made 5870.

The W870 I have now is downright AWESOME! I am selling it though because my personal life is hiiting a major bump here and I need money more than I need the system :(

I am Experiencing flickering and throttling. When i run crysis i still see flickering, and when i run realtemp, i see it throttling the last core. Just wondering if that is normal with the A02 Bios and the 10.3 drivers. Here is a screenshot. http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/112/logging.png
I see flickering even without overclocking.

I don't see any throttling in that picture. The flickering in Crysis may be driver/crossfire related. Does it happen in other games?

It just happens in crysis, i did run crysis warhead, and there is no flickering. And the throttling is when it says LOG in real temp rather than OK. It also happens with Hwinfo.

Use throttlestop and see if it still does it. I have the same config and get no throttling.

When i restart my computer, and check real temp it doesn't throttle anymore, does that happen with you? i am going to try throttlestop and see if it changes anything. How do i overclock my cards?

    Joker,
I had problems with the Steam version of Crysis running under Win 7 64-bit. I tried a number of things and finalaly added "-dx9" to my "Set Launch options" in Steam. This told the program to drop back from Direct X 10. The point is that it also killed my flickering issue. Might be worth trying as a troubleshooting step. I never had flickering in any of my other Steam games.
