    Article Summary:
This article will guide you to fix your system when a BSOD 0x07E or 0x.D1 appears on Windows randomly.

    What is happening?
We've noticed a some BSOD's in mobile systems configured with an mSATA drive, 0x7E or 0xD1 caused by iaStor.sys. After testing, the BSOD issue is resolved by disabling and re-enabling the acceleration feature from the Intel's Rapid Storage Technology console. This can also be done (and in many cases HAS to be done) from the CTRL+I menu, before booting from the hard drive.

[IMG] Note: This also fixes a few issues where the computer doesn't boot into Windows at all, or the hard disk drive is not detected at the partition screen during a manual OS installation.
    Solution

    Outside Windows Environment
    1. Ensure Sata mode is set to RAID in BIOS
    2. Go to RAID BIOS and disable accelerate option for SSD using option 5 (Use Ctrl+I)

    Inside Windows Environment

    1. Run the Intel RST software through the All Programs menu or the task bar icon.
    2. Click Accelerate menu.

    3. Select the cache device.

    4. Select "Disable" to remove the msata SSD as Acceleration.

    5. Restart the computer.
    6. Once this is done, you can enable back the mSATA Cache Device as Acceleration. You can enable Acceleration back by following this article.

Trying this when today. Been having 3-4 BSOD a day since I received this workstation a couple weeks ago. Hopefully this was the problem.

I tried this but I can't just disable acceleration, I have to "unlink" them(?). Also my RST control panel looks nothing like that. Any help?
