Just a warning. The promotion is very misleading, or at least hard to get to. I had to cancel my first order because I didn't get the %15 off.

    So I finally ordered my M11x. (i7, 4gb RAM, 320GB HD)

The first order I did, I went through the entire system and the final price was $1,293.00 (No discount was applied). If you use the normal "Configure" link you will not get the discount. Very misleading.

    Then I noticed this icon at the bottom of the page;

Clicking this icon defaults the same configuration above, but saves you $194

    Starting Price $1,293.00
    Total Savings $194.00
    Subtotal $1,099.00

Needless to say, I cancelled my first order (don't bother trying to call Dell other than to cancel your order. That was a nightmare), and ordered using the link above.

    Saved $194

That's weird, I ordered through this promotion and there was no problem with the "configure" option.

Maybe I ordered right when they were rolling it out, I don't know, but it wasn't applied.

When I called Dell about it, she asked what web site I saw the promotion on. I told her Alienware.com in which she replied "Oh, we only honor promotions on Dell.com".

    /sigh

You OWN Alienware... Whatever, just cancel the order.

The $194 off thing ended on the 15th, but you could still get it for a few days after by clicking said link at the bottom.

I did, spent 1999 got 375 off Via phone - a cs sent a preconfiged one to my wishlist and then I selected the nicer video card, the 5850 taking the cost to 1999 and got 375 off with 111.00 tax and 39.99 shipping cost so it ended up being 1777.00 or so xD

there are promotions they wont tell you about unless you ask, hidden ones

did you configured until the delivery level? because the 15% discount will be counted last - when you will order (the page that you insert your coupons) *
dont forget to use the promotion link otherwise the discount does not apply

That must have been it. I must have not used the correct link for the promotion.

At any rate, the $194 pretty much comes to the same amount, so I'm happy. :)
