Hey just curious about your opinions of buying a alienware off ebay, saw some interesting deals on m17x's. Those of m17's were nowhere close to a good deal, and one deal for an m15x. Just would like to hear your opinion. And yeah, that one guy has 1.5 TB's of memory..

Lot of variables here with this. The particular link you sent looks good but the fact he said it comes with a 1 year manufactures warranty is VERY fishy. It more than likely comes with zero warranty.

True they do, but this is their page: http://myworld.ebay.com/alienware_corporation/

I call BS on the warranty for the auction in OP, unless its a private warranty assumed by the seller or his associates, but it certainly deserves more details and still sounds fishy to me.

Well it does not come with the warranty, i do not think it transfers, if you look lower on the sale. I think it is one of the questions asked, you get a 90 day refurbished warranty. My only worry is that the 8800GTX SLI cards are not up to par, aka old tech whereas i can purchase the m17 with 3870's or wait for 4870s whenever those come. Though the specs on this machine are insane if i can get it cheap. extreme processor with 1 TB of memory. ill upgrade the ram myself. Plus i love the way the m17 looks.

+ to respond to marvie its m17x not m15x, not sure if thats typo or i am missing something

Sorry to double post but, the warranty would theoretically not go through cause its multiple customers right, so if anything happens, its all on me. Correct? and i know 8800GTXs SLI are good, but sufficient for like 3 years of gameplaying/college work?

Please be advised warranty is not transferable. 8800 series should be good for the next few years even for gaming. You may purchase our recertified systems from this website, They come with 90 days warranty and phone support. Unfortunately, we do not offer extended warranty on recertified systems. Feel free to send me a PM if you have other questions.
