I was playing CSS and on cs_office I was getting 20~30 FPS with the highest resolution. Any suggestions? I should be able to get much higher shouldn't I? I've tried installing the drivers again ( for the 260m ) but no dice, I've never really gamed with this laptop so is something wrong with it?

PS: In windows 7 device manager, under 'display adapters" I ONLY see the 9400 G.

I think you're in stealth mode. Try switching it off by pressing the touch panel button that looks like a speedometer.

Aternatively, start up (while plugged in to AC) and go into the BIOS. Disable the Integrated video AND Hybrid SLi.

    This should fix your problem.

reboot and spam F2 as soon as you see the alien head logo. Go to Advanced, then Video settings, and change Hybrid SLi and Integrated Video to OFF. Make sure the discreet cards are not disabled anywhere.

Hi, I went ahead and did that. Now when I go to display Device manager under "Display Adapters" I only see "Video Controller ( VGA Compatible ). ( Am I missing the drivers? )

PS: when I try to press down on the stealth button I get "Stealth mode access detected. Choose Yes to enable or No to Cancel" at which point I click "No", does that mean it's OFF?

that means stealth mode is OFF.

The fact that Windows is desplaying your video card(s) as generic VGA adapters means you have no drivers. Download the latest drivers from the Nvidia site (195.62 is what I am running) and install them. Reboot and go!

Hi, that seems to have fixed it. Thank you! I have two four small issues that I'm not sure what to do about:

    1. I have the Black m17x yet I see this:

    2. I have these two unknown drivers, I'd very much like to find out what they are and install the correct drivers:

    3. My touchpad is kind of sketchy and laggy when I use it, is this normal?

    4. Is there a way I can find out if I need to update any other drivers?

Thanks a ton for your help.

I have no idea why it would show your computer as red, but it doesn't seem malicious in any way, so I wouldn't worry about it.

The track pad is a little weird for me as well, it seems as if it doesn't have the resolution it should. I just use a mouse and only use the trackpad when tweaking my bluetooth settings. Maybe someone else has input?

I don't have M17x but on my M15x I uninstalled the touchpad driver and let windows install it default driver. Now my touchpad is much better.

@Explosivpotato, thanks for your help! I did what you suggested and it's all working great ( the two unknown drives are now gone! ) Thanks!

@InappropriateName_3, I tried what you said and again it's working remarkably well, it is as good as my wireless mouse now! Thanks!
