Maybe you got a default battery. Im sure it happens sometimes. My old Toshiba displays the same message but its 6 years old.
If its 3 days old I would call Dell and get a new battery. -
I did have this same issue on an HP laptop, so please take it for what it is, 'advise from experience'.
One cell was dying and the internal diagnostics knew it. It still charged and worked, when I called (HP) a cross shipped replacement, in the 5th month of warranty was offered. Of course I took it and would recommend you try that. I believe the original battery of our AW's are also covered in the original 1 year warranty. -hubs- -
Just contact support and they will dispatch a new battery out to you. A return label will be shipped out with the batt and you'll need to pack the original in the same box, apply the shipping label and send it back to avoid a charge for the new batt. Simple.
Give them a call today. Batt's have a 1 year warranty from date of purchase. -
You should download a battery tester and run it on your laptop. Couple of free one are available (e.g. Laptop Battery Tester - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com. If its shows some problem get a replacement. It's pretty easy to get a battery replacement
