a lot of people swear by the 180.48 for the 8800M GTX.

ugh. 3dmark is a synthetic benchmark, and does not reflect gaming performance.

These are the FPS I got with the current drivers you can download from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com I am currently using the 185.20. All the drivers have the applications that they are good at and others they have trouble on. I would not base the best driver off of 3d mark scores. It is very unreliable. Not all the 3dmark test I have done have not been at the same resolution, thus the mixed results. Due too the driver not supporting that resolution.

I wouldn't say there's a best driver out right now. I'm on DOX 180.70 and it's working rather well.

Yeah there is no "best driver" but the new dox 181.22 has been running very solidly for me (and improved my 3dmark scores as well not that they matter)

not necessarily, but the way people always infer gaming performance from a 3dmark score ("that driver only got XXXX points, so it can't be good for gaming...") bugs me. i mean, look at the new ATI driver (9.1) - most folks lost a couple of points in 3dmark, but their fps in Fallout 3 literally doubled (referring to Mr. Moo's case here)!
