Hi I was wondering the best way to clean my mx15 notebook clearview, glossy monitor. I don't wanna hurt it. I've only owned matte finishes before I'am not sure if these wipes I used before and damp/warm rag are safe for my new wonder machine
Hellp?????![]()

Use a microfibre cloth... like those you use to clean your expensive rayban glasses. That would do the trick...

you can buy special cleaners for screens. they come in small bottles with a sort of .....squeejy? yeah thats it. They are sold mainly in alot of stationary depos.

Only use a microfiber cloth on glossy screens - never use anything like paper towels, they will scratch it. Glossy screens tend to scratch easily.
Also don't use anything like Windex, those types of formulas can damage the finish. Dampening one portion of the microfiber cloth with water can help remove dust and other dust. Remember not to use a lot of pressure. -
Just buy some monster screen cleaner. I use it to clean my whole M9750, that includes the matte finish. It works great for the whole entire computer and really cleans the clearview well.
Only monster product which isn't a rip off in my opinionComes with spray and microfibre cloth.

Haha yea back on the apple forums I posted this too.
Well back to studying for a French test I have tomorrow. So far I have finished my term paper, finished studying for chem, and now studying for this. I have a pillow on call in case I need a 20 min rest on my desk lol. Hope to study for the next 5 hours before I leave for school. 10th grade in a private school. Good education but the workload is erratic in terms of how much per night.

What's your major going to be Stone?

Haha no idea. I'm going to a film production course this summer as well as a After Effects / Flash / photoshop, etc. course. The film course is in New York and the two other courses are at Upenn.
Honestly I have no idea if that is what I want to do but I want to have as many options as possible. I'm also hoping that being on the varsity team for squash next year will help me get into a better school. -
i use sandpaper, keeps my screen looking in good condition

I also use the monster clean screen and it works great. In between cleanings I use a swiffer duster to keep the dust off and it works wonders.

@Stone
wow im amazed that you can study for 5 hours straight. In my entire life i never studied that long even once. I think the longest i ever studied was 30 min - 1 hour with lots of procrastination in between.
in fact i have a college placement test i should probably study for. Since the subject is math and i havent taken any math classes for 2 years. -
my problem with microclothes is that if you don't wash them regularly, the grease that is on them from a previous cleaning will eventually just smudge the new grime on the monitor due to the very small size of the cloth. I use a wet cotton t-shirt and then dry immediately with a dry potion of the t-shirt. I have never had a single scratch or problem doing so in the past 5 years. YMMV though
-
Heh I've used brasso with my microfibre and haven't washed it once and it works perfectly and doesn't smudge or anything. I'm thinking that there may be different "quality" of microfibre clothes or something.

I would (what are we up to? 50th?) the monster cleaning solution.
And good luck with that DemonOfRazgriz.
