    Hi

    I just purchased a M17x around the 25th... My question is, when do they actually take out the funds/payment for this laptop? ---begginning of the build, or when the laptop actually ships? ( when do they charge you for the laptop)

    because my bank was authorizing this payment, and then when i checked it was not even posted on my real bank account statement according to the interenet online banking...

    thanks guys for such a stupid question, but its bothering me

    Edit:my online order status says it in production, which is just confusing me

    Yes mine was gone from my bank account moments after my order was confirmed this morning but it may be like you said where its claimed but its not actually gone till everything is done. My DELL DPA account also showed 0 left in the account as soon as i got off the phone as well .

    Yeah, Dell will go ahead and verify payment, but depending how you pay (cc vs nbank acct) the funds aren't actually processed (taken out) until it ships. During the verification the funds will appear to be taken out but they are in essence being held.

    I was just happy to see the funds gone since that was the indication i needed to know things were moving forward and now it says in production so even better .
