Umm quick question, when i tried to install the X32RC1 bios. For some reason it goes through the entire process and just when it it about to finish (at least i think it is about to finish) it just randomly shuts downs and it is as if nothing happened at all and it goes back to normal.

The reason i tried to upgrade the bios is because with the new 175.80 beta drivers i seem to get downclocking with the videocard.

Oh and the current bios i have is vX32 P3A33

just with the beta drivers (175.80) not with the normal drivers. I just wanted to see if the x32RC1 would get rid of the downclocking on the new drivers.

hmm, I believe you may have a later version of the bios then the x32 rc1.

Also, I am using the 175.80 drivers with the x32 p3a33 and am not experiencing any downclocking. In fact all my framerates increased with these over the 175.63 drivers. Have you checked your temperatures when you noticed downclocking?

Ya my temps were normal. I'll try the drivers again, but this time I think i'll use a tool to make sure that the other drivers are completely uninstalled.

    Thx for the clarification taco!

After using the driver cleaner and re-installing the 175.80 drivers i haven't noticed any DC'ing at all. I guess there was something left that was messing things up.

It is generally a good idea to uninstall then use a driver cleaner or at the least uninstall then reboot before installing new drivers.

Glad to hear that cleared it up for you.
