It seems all top notch except the RAM, 2GB is whats in budget notebooks now, I know it's DDR3 but are you going to up it for 3 or 4 GB? I'm jealous though, your graphics cards are each a generation ahead of mine, and more powerful... lucky duck! :p Your processor is more powerful than two of mine also... This thing is powerful in my mind!! Now it seems like a netbook :S

Ordering the bare minimum for RAM is actually a good idea for an AW laptop. Seeing that you could upgrade it on your own, for much cheaper, without voiding your warranty.

good move, nice rig. why not 64-bit?

You've gotten the ultimate version which is good... I think you can get the 64-bit version at no added cost, but AW made 64-bit versions available with the M17 no?

with a 32-bit OS you'll only 2GB of system RAM anyways (look at what happened with the m17x)...

other than that, good stuff! congrats!

Congratulations, and wow that's a fast machine. I recently tested a notebook with a QX9300 and it's insanely fast.

I recommend buying a second identical hard drive if you can and putting it in a mirrored RAID 1 configuration. That way if one hard drive fails, you don't lose all of your data.

I will be adding a 500gb hdd as storage and setting up an automatic backup solution to my server.

In phase 3 now :D gotta wait 14 days for parts though :( do the parts ever become availible quicker than the stated times?
