that is why whizzo and me said in previous posts not to buy the ram from AW but buy it afterwards.

good spec above BUT does he want the extra hassle of returning the system back to the usa if it needs repair. if he decides to buy a clevo why not buy from a london re seller like Kobalt ;)

I just got packed the Laptop and waiting for guy to pick it up. I just want to say that i would love to buy Alienware stuff again, that laptop you posted here is realy nice one, but design is a bit poor and the pages for ordering doesn't look so trusthworthy to me. I like Alienware design and underlighted keyboard. So sorry, but i would realy like to buy M15x, and im quite sure that i can handle adding memory to laptop, already done it like milion time with desktop computers and to my old toshiba laptop so i know its now so hard.

Anyone know some nice webpage to order memory for laptop so i can have it ready before new laptop will come? As soon as AW send me back money i will come here back to ask about new configuration.

Search google for UK tech components shops. Then look for SO-DIMM 667mhz pc5400 RAM

How long does it usualy takes to get refund? Anyone have some experience with it? Its two days already today.

And about my new laptop configuration. What do you think about this?

    15.4" WideXGA+ 1440 x 900 LCD (720p)
Genuine Windows® Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1
    512MB NVidia® GeForce® Go 8800M GTX
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB)
    1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz - 2 x 512MB
(i will order 3 more Gb of memory from internet shop)
    No Intel turbo cache
Single Drive Configuration - 120GB 7200 RPM SATA with Free Fall Protection
    8x Dual Layer Writer (DVD±RW, CD-RW)
AlienFX® Illuminated Keyboard – Exclusive Design
    Logitech® MX 518 Gaming-Grade™ Optical Mouse

Should cost me like 1550£ what is still acceptable.

Much more solid configuration. Similar to my own. You'll probably be able to max out WAR easy (haven't played it myself but I've heard it's not too graphically demanding and you're on WXGA+).

Hello again. I just received money from AW. Do you think that this configuration i posted up here is fine to order? Should i do it now? How do i put in additional memory and do i have to order whole 4Gb, because i see there are 2x512Mb and it has 4 slots i think. So will be probably best to order 2x2048 Mb from same company?

Laptop arrived before two days and memory one day after. Everything is working smooth and great. Its like 200% better than laptop i did made before. I'm really happy playing warhammer with high details. So i would like to thanks to all of you for helping me. Without you I would have poor laptop and was angry to myself.

    Thanks a lot!

Nice man sorry to bash you so much earlier but it just seemed like you weren't listening at first. I'm glad that you got a system that you like that runs well. Your original setup was garbage but this setup is ACTUALLY 2 - 2.5x faster than your original one :).

    Hope you enjoy it.

3dmark for your old one would be probably ~ 4000-5000?
3dmark for this one should be in the high 8000's, low 9000's :)

    Thank you.

I did had 3500 Before and now I got like 9500.

By the way do you have any favorite video drivers which to use? I'm currently using 180.30 which makes Warhammer works much more better that old drivers which was in Laptop from Alienware, but my 3Dmark score droped dowl like for 400 Points from 9900 to 9500.

always go with those drivers that give you the best gaming performance, not the best 3dmark score.
