    Hi Everyone,

I have some questions to those who ordered the Blue Ray reader optical drive on the M15X.

How well do you find the performance of the Blue ray optical drive in general? Is it noisy, laggy or skipping frames when playing a blue ray disc movie?

If it had any of those problems stated above, how severe would it be? Would you still be able to sit through the movie and not notice it too much?

If you had the choice to rebuild you're laptop again, would you upgrade the 8X slot to the blue ray reader again or spend the money on something else?

    Thanks

I had one in my M15x review unit - it worked flawlessly. I played back Oceans Thirteen and there were no stuttering or audio problems. I put the disc in, opened the Cyberlink player, and that was it.

My unit came with a blu-ray reader as well. Worked fine, but had stuttering issues at first. Did a software update via Cyberlink and works great now. Looks awesome on the 1600x900 resolution as well :)
