Luckily, this wasn't the infamous BSOD, but after installing the new 186.82 video drivers, my machine went on standby after being left alone for a while, and when I logged back in, my desktop immediately became divided into little rectangles, the Vista "welcome back" sound repeated two notes for about 5 seconds, and the whole thing went black and then went to a blue screen.
I didn't read all of what it said (though I tried; I was more intent on finding a camera, but didn't get one in time), but something about display drivers and shutting down.
This comes after a clean formatting fresh off of a history of other problems. If you just look at my posting history you're bound to see all the others. Can someone please help me? Thank you very much!
P.S. Sorry if you see a bunch of threads I started on the first page. This will be my last one; I just want each of my issues in a different topic so that it's easier on everyone.
EDIT: I should probably add that I haven't noticed any more problems since that time, but it's only been about an hour since then. Strangely, my desktop vanished and switched to all-black after playing Sonic Mega Collection Plus, though.![]()

I got exactly what you describe once. It wasn't after installing anything, except for maybe a Windows update. I am not sure. It was a while ago and never saw it again since. I've never had a problem with this puppy since the day I took it out of the box.
I'd say it's just one of those random things dude. Don't worry about it. -
OK, thanks for the help!
I haven't really had a problem with this thing other than stuttering, either; it was an incompatible audio driver that caused me to have to reformat. Otherwise, this thing's been awesome. -
Stuttering? I thought that only happened on the QX9300. I run a T9600 also and haven't experienced this. Perhaps it is so light I can even tell...

Dang dude, the only time I get blue screens is when I overclocked too much! Never during driver updates or general usage!
Blue screen on M17x? O.O
