I try to post it here since I do not know what to do.

I'm really frustrated. After I installed Medal Of Honor warfighters I get blue screen on my Alienware m17x R4 when I play the game. It may vary when the blue screen appears. Sometimes it comes after 5 minutes, and sometimes after several hours. I do not know if it's the game that makes the blue screen. Could this be an option?

I have tried to format my PC and install the graphics card driver again, but it did not help, it still comes with the blue screen.

The game is brand new so I wanted to try a new driver for the AMD Radeon 7970M but alienware has not made any new and the driver located on AMD's website, can not be used.

Does anyone know if it can be the game's fault that the blue screen appears or is it my laptop?

thanks for your time to answer.

    Phillip

What driver are you using? I just installed MOHW and the 12.11beta 4 driver. The game plays flawlessly in my m18x with dual 7970s. I experimented with xfire disbaled and was still getting 50fps with one card and all settings maxed (over 100 with xfire!).

It's a 8.973, A01 version. The only one there is for my m17x at Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] :/

The game is also running flawlessly at 50 fps on my m17x. But suddently I just get the bluescreen. Sometimes after 10 minuts and sometimes after 5 hours. I take good care of my laptop and it does not heat up. Maby I need a new driver... :/ When i go to AMD's website and download the latest AMD driver for my 7970M its says that:
"AMD Catalyst Mobility can not be downloaded due to incompatible hardware / software in your computer

graphics adapter version is not supported.
Contact the manufacturer of your notebook to get an update for the graphics driver.

Anyone?? What driver can I use on my Alienware m17x with AMD 7970M ? I get bluescreen with the 4 month old driver from Dell/alienware's website

Google 12.11 beta driver. Manufacturers rarely update their driver page, get your drivers directly from AMD.

"AMD Catalyst Mobility can not be downloaded due to incompatible hardware / software in your computer

graphics adapter version is not supported.
Contact the manufacturer of your notebook to get an update for the graphics driver.

I did a format on my PC and tried the new AMD beta 3 og 4 driver but now I can't switch to the 7970M graphic card. That means that I can play any games now. What should I do? I have tried almost anything now

Did you check the BIOS? Is it disabled somehow? Try the FN+F7, you need to check device manager as well.

That is sometimes an unfortunate effect of using AMD beta drivers, I don't switch myself so not sure how common it is for all AMD drivers vs the one official Dell one
