    Build time?

    I ordered an Alienware on Thursday, and in the configurator it listed that the build time would be 7 days, with a preliminary ship date of 7/26.

    Now I just looked at the configurator today and it said the build time if I ordered one today would be 1 day, with a preliminary ship date of 7/19.

    There was an issue with some info in the billing, and they couldn't contact us Friday so they temporarily canceled it. I called and the order will be reinstated on Monday when we correct the info with our sales representative.

    Does that mean that the one I ordered on Thursday will also only take 1 day for them to build or am I stuck with the 7 day build time because that's what it said when I ordered it?

    I guess what I am asking is will it definately take 7 days to build or will they build it however fast they can?(1 day according to current configurator)

    The date are an est: they can change and usually do. :eek:
    Just keep checking and hope all go's well, as you have already seen it can get set back or even move up. :D

    Okay, so if the estimated build time was 7 days when I ordered, and it's 1 day now, that 1 day estimate applies to all ordered systems?

    Thanks for the info, I will also ask the sales guy on Monday when I go to reinstate the order.

    Building time varies.... Dont be suprised if it gets changed.
