    Hi im going to buy an Alienware m17 or m17x laptop the specs are below.

    first question is whitch system to get with Gpu & Cpu
    second question in a later date can the graphic cards be upgraded or are the fixed to the board

    M17 with ATI gpu
    IntelCore™2 Duo Quad and Extreme Processors (12MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB
    Up to 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz
    ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3870 CrossFireX Enabled
    it also sayes on the ATI that it will be 80% increase

    GPUs can be upgraded later on, although nobody knows to which extent. in terms of performance, the m17 with Montevina motherboard, quadcore CPUs and (probably) the new ATI HD4870X2 GPU is better. however, there have been some rare issues with it. if you're looking for a notebook without any sort of flaws, go for the m17x. it's proven to be rock-solid.
