    I remember hearing about this, you could buy a desktop and get a free notebook (albeit with mediocre ram/hard drive/etc). I can't find anything about this now, is it still offered? Thanks!

    I can see how a deal like that wouldn't last long.

    Dell was running a promotion for a while, where if you bought a certain notebook, you got a free Mini 9 netbook. That's over too though.
