Basically it's a lot of laptop for the price but keep in mind it is outdated technology at every level. The processor is old tech, it has a cd burner/dvd reader but can't write dvds, it has xp home, 2x7900gs isn't bad but not spectacular either, the hard drive is decent...

Again it's not a bad deal for 500$ but it's an old laptop so spend wisely. Personally I'd look for the mALX myself since that has to be the most awesome looking laptop that ever existed and if AW keeps f-ing up their design then it's th best looking laptop they will ever make.

Um, awesome deal! If you have the money though I would go with the Gateway P FX Edition. $1300 for performance near my laptop that I paid $2400.00 for.

I have no knowledge of that 3rd party seller. If you are buying from them I would read some stuff about them before giving them any money.

I hope you didn't see that from craigslist. If so, it's very likely to be a scam. same spec. on ebay would cost you 1K

I did. And I have read up on the 3rd party seller. 2 People have thus far tried to scam me. One for this M9700 and one for a sony sz. Thats the reason I will only deal with locals on Craigslist. Too many scamming ****s.

While I'm sure some people have gotten excellent deals out of it, in general, buying an alienware computer on ebay or craigslist is asking for scammers. Alienware is a big target for scams.
