Isn't it fine on X32 as well? I haven't experienced any overheating issues and I'm still on X32, never upgraded. On X32 my latency is constantly below 1k us, averaging about 600 with a minimum of 432, iirc. If this is the case, yep, good fix. :p

The X34 was introduced to solve the problem with extreme processors overheating and downclocking. My T9300 CPU would reach temperatures of 92ºC and I saw it downclocking in some (very rare) occasions. Not to mention that, on X32 my GPU would reach 100ºC and would normally be above 90ºC during gameplay.

So, to answer your question... no, the X32 is not fine. Taco and newfie spent months (and I mean... like more than 3 months) fighting AW to solve their problems (as both had the extreme CPU). They came out with X34... the "fix".

Interesting. I use the T9300's too with the X32 BIOS but have never gotten' as high as 92C on my CPU and haven't broken 91C on my GPU. What were you doing during those times? Also, what were your room temperatures? Room temperature is a crucial piece of information people often neglect.

Oh, I wouldn't worry with your CPU. These temps were reached after 4 hours of Orthos or Prime95 CPU stress test, so in real life, unless you run complicated algorythms in your laptop that demand constant CPU power, you won't notice it.

I think that the combination of Bios updates and new GPU drivers pretty much solved the major overheating issues. What I'm trying to say is that a true solution should be implemented at hardware level.

I believe the m15x is a much safer bet now than what it was a couple of months ago.
