    Hello people!

I was wondering something today. As we all know the M15x and M17x are now offered with Windows 7. Therefore I assume Dell have found a way to fix the AlienFusion issues that the Command Center has. My question is... what will happen if I try to install the M15x CC on m15x? Do you think the other 3 apps will work correctly? Or is there a fix for the normal CC that I don't know about?

Any comment and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There's absolutely no need for the CC, apart from AlienSense. If you want AlienFusion you can change the same settings easily by clicking on the battery icon, clicking on more power options, change plan settings, and then change advanced plan settings.

If the installer actually does install and not error out, there is a good chance that the AlienFX board's BIOS will be overwritten with the M15x's AlienFX board BIOS. This can be a bad thing as the two may not be compatible. Trying to flash it back to the correct m15x version may be impossible in which case you will be stuck with a non-functioning AlienFX board.

I would not suggest it - IMO of course. Up to you.

The reason why I'm looking for an alternative Command Centre is because when I use the latest one from the "Mini MyHive" thread on this forum AlienFusion eats more than 1GB of RAM in less than an hour. Moreover the AlienFusion of this version cannot be removed if I try to uninstall the whole CC. So basically right now I'm looking for a CC that is compatible with 7.

Edit: Just checked the My Hive area on AW site. Nothing for Win 7, just Vista and XP drivers. Also checked the download sections from the US [official] and UK [local] versions of the site. Nothing for 7 on the UK site. On the US site I got the 64bit version only and I'm using the 32 bit version.
