sorry bout the size, currently on the TV aswell -
Electric... use RMclock to have a graphical display of the speed of your CPU cores.
Then... Select or Balanced or high performance mode. Don't run laptop on batteries. And that is pretty much it... -
Yep... running on batteries will do that.
When you are on batteries, both your CPU and GPU will downclock. And there's no way around this... unfortunately! -
This is called ''Intel Speed Step Technology'' Your CPU's frequency will vary depending on usage. That way, it can conserve battery life, and keep the heat low. This means that when you are running CPU intensive apps, your CPU will automatically push up to full speed. No need to worry.
-
ok i plugged in the power supply but still.. now its down to 1.2ghz. And im in high performance.
-
ahhh i see. Thanks i didnt see that
Crysis over.. get it.. crysis? nvm xD
-
I think he is aware of that... But the case of the M15x is peculiar in the sense that, once on batteries, the CPU will downclock itself and whatever you do, it will never work at full clock speed. The multipliers go down from X14 to X8 (or something like this).
-
You were not aware of the Speedstep? :| I'm shocked... I thought you were a computer kid.
Oh well...
-
Alot of notebooks does the same too...not just the M15X.
-
I was aware, in-fact my actual computer does it all the time. I just forgot and got carried away in the heat of the moment
-
Come on... stop being obcessive. You have a perfectly working laptop. What a drama queen you turned out to be.
Now go and sleep... past your bed time! -
I had mine drop to a lower clock on the cpu 1.6ghz. But why do you need 2.8ghz for typing.
-
-
haha good one. Right now my system running at 779.85mhz But I seen it lower.
-
also make sure that your power profile is on high performance while gaming.
CPU @ 1.6ghz?
