    Hi i was wondering is it really worth it to spend 300 more on the I7-820 will i really notice much o a difrance from the I7-720
    or should i just stick with the 720 ?

    I think the current core i cpu's are not worth their money. If AMD would have cpu's with the same capacity the prices would be way less. I just hope we won't have to wait to long before AMD comes up with something.

    THanks maybe i miss worded what i was asking im curiosue will i really notice a difrance in speend between the 720 and the 820 or is it not worth upgrading will the 820 really show any signs of being faster or not really

    definately not worth 300 dollars imho. You are still talking about the same class of cpu's. If you have money to burn then get it. The fact that you are asking if it is worth the 300 dollars tells me you don't. you would be better to spend the money an an intel ssd. you will notice the difference there.

    If I had a dollar for evertime someone hopes for AMD to hurrry up and offer a competitive product, I would never have to worry about CPU prices. The fact that people have been waiting years for them to come up with something leads me to believe that we will have nothing but Intel for quite some time. In fact we may not see a competitive product from them in our lifetime . I have owned both and they just don't compare. I have the I7-720 in my m15x and its the best cpu I have owned to date.

    Yeah that GT240M is going to bottleneck you LONG before the 720 will. If you want better performance, go for the GPU upgrade first.

    Thzats what im doing im going with the GTX 260m
    you say upgrade to a SSD drive how much of a notice will i see in the SSD drive compaded to the non SSD standard drive
    also i asked this on another post but have not heard anything in respons yet
    is it really worth the money to go with the 1333 or will i not notice any difrance then what i would iwht a 1066 ram ?
