    Hi,

I would like to buy Alienware after considereing MSI, Aorus and Razer Blade. Thought I would get atleast 10% discount as i am a graduate student. But after having online chat with many reps and even talking directly on phone, I ended with only 2% off and 100$ off (while the total is 2271$ without tax) . Considering discounts what others have got I dont feel buying it. So, as a last attempt, can any one share an extra free coupon from their work place or university or from any where.

    Thank you

Where do you live? Discounts available will depend on your country.

I'm in Canada, so my coupons wouldn't work for you.

I ended up combining a $150 + $100 coupon. I also got a 2% MPP/EPP discount and a free neoprene sleeve. It took a lot of work, over a week, of calling and chatting until I found someone willing to give me what I wanted.

Unless there's a coupon out there (I don't think there are many currently) you can only try negotiating more. Maybe start placing an order, then withdraw near the end of the process if you can't get a good enough deal. Do this on the phone.

I'll send you some old coupons, not sure if they still work.

There's a $75 coupon out there right now. Have you tried that? You can always see if they can combine coupons.

Worse case, place an order then call afterwards complaining a coupon wasn't properly entered, they will likely credit you for it.

I am about to chat with another guy now..and tell me one thing.. is it worth to take 2 year enhanced service pack.. this is my first time i am buying a dell/alienware laptop.. so dont know about their quality.. but many of my friends have dell laptops .. and mostly every one end up with some kind of replacements with in end of their warranty..so is it the quality same even with AW? are repairs or problems common?

Dell/Alienware's warranty is second to none, you can't beat it. Most places you get next day business support where they will send a tech out to you to replace the defected part. Others have requested Dell to ship them the items and they've replaced the parts themselves as that's what they prefer to do.

Personally if you can afford it, i'd do with the maximum warranty support you can buy, the latest generation of Alienware laptop's have soldered parts so if in the unlikely event something goes wrong, it can be a very costly repair if you are not covered.

This coupon (3QDPR0SBBJP4FN) is for $100.00 off when you spend $1499 or above... but you won't be able to combine it with the Free Tablet. Unless you speak with a Sales Rep and they can combine it; if they wish to make an exception. I got my Alienware and Tablet for a great price; saved a little over $500.

Please tell me you have not placed your order... your Laptop would come at $2,319.99+tax if you apply the discount on previous post(tablet offer cant be combined w/coupon).

I have a quote don't know if it would apply to your account but is for an Alienware 15; gtx 980m, UHD Screen, 16GB RAM, 256GB m2.80 SSD + 1TB 5,400 HDD, USB recovery disk + tablet for $2,323.46+tax... you can call them and tell you wanted to add the 2 year enhanced support. It's better to shoot for the one with the highest spec since you save $200 from the get go.

I got the same for $2,1xx.xx + tax (Alienware 15; gtx 980m, UHD Screen, 16GB RAM, 256GB m2.80 SSD + 1TB 5,400 HDD, USB recovery disk)... just work with the Sales Rep.

You should call them, they might still send you the tablet, the agent actually gave me the Tablet without my consent :D.. had no idea until I saw the quote in my email.. total price at checkout was... $2,3xx.xx Dell definitely has great customer service.

02/13/2015 12:12:59PM Me: "you were able to add the table???"
02/13/2015 12:13:53PM Agent (TIP_Char-): "Yes, I was. It is in a separate Order Number. Did you get the email?"

02/13/2015 11:22:31AM Agent (TIP_Char-): "If I may ask, did you apply a coupon?"
    02/13/2015 11:23:19AM Me: "yes"
02/13/2015 11:23:42AM Agent (TIP_Char-): "Okay. Can I have the code?"
    02/13/2015 11:24:46AM Me: "3QDPR0SBBJP4FN"

It's always a hit and miss with Sales Reps.. just check the last post of this link, it pretty much sums up my experience with them.. Best I can say is call again and hopefully the next agent is willing to help.

You should try contacting the Sales Rep that placed your order, remember they work on commission so a different agent as no incentive to help you. Wish you the best of luck!!
