Ok, so i have an alienware M7700 and i have fried 1 video card already :( and i think i did it again. When i start my laptop without the video card in it just keeps rebooting and when it is in and i try to turn it on it turns on for a secound (no video just a black screen on the monitor) then shuts off. Then when that happens the power supply light blinks and it stops charging. I then have to remove the charger and plug it back in and then its fine. HELP!!! I have a P4 3.6 GHZ with a Nvidia 6800 Ultra. Thanks in Advance.     :(

sounds like your laptop is overheated. that kept happening to me once. but once i let some ventilation into the fans, it cooled down significantly. have you tried that? or you could buy a fan cooler for it.

if that's not it, it might the battery itself. new battery perhaps, would do the trick.

    hope it works!

i believe it's the Video card heating, get a cooler thats will do.. friend owned one and he always use fan cooler or it will not work more than 10min without it.

overheating may have damaged components, it would be cool if you had a buddy with a similar machine with an mxm card thats compatible to test if it is the gpu thats fried
