    Hi All,
I was looking into buying a M17X R2, but am trying to find out if while it is on power conserve mode if the power adapter can work on a regular converter on a plane? Has anyone tried?
    Thanks!

Do you really want to risk it? "M17x brings down flight" lol!

Lol you plug it in and all the lights dim ahaha...

I dunno never thought of that.. Usually never would since the space is so confined that I really wouldnt want to try to take it out and use in on a plane..

This was brought up once before. Someone checked with the airlines for the max power draw (watts) allowed from the power outlets and it was less than the brick used for the M17x (~200W IIRC) so they were advised not to use it.

Hahaha, I'm benching on a plane after I cause it to decompress so it's super cold (20,000ft)and plenty of airflow. Then I'm putting the oxygen masks right under the fan intakes. Just hope it doesn't cut power to the engines or I may never get my scores posted on NBR

Haha, yeah, you can confuse the pilots with the FX lights that would spread to their control boards the moment you plug it in ;)

the power adaptor will only draw what it needs for the laptop so if your in stealth mode you should be OK

The power at the seats will automatically shut off and reset if you exceed the power limits.

I did use mine on larger planes 767, 757 A340.

Unless you have a private jet or you purchased 3 tickets to have your own row, there is no way in h-e-double-L you'd have enough room for the M17x on a plane.
