I don't use a couple of those (specially the stealth one) and was wondering if I could put them to good use.

Making the stealth one turn on/off the screen would be perfect, but I don't know how to customize that button nor how to set up such shortcut :p

im sure its possible if you know how to edit the registry keys properly and know where they are located.

I know nothing (just got my M15x) and am not very keen on exploring the registry.
Surely someone here must know alot about the workings of Alienware stuff. It IS for uber geeks after all.

there is a small program to customize the buttons starting applications on the M17. It edits the the regestrypath to the desired program. I think the paths (in the registry) for the touchbuttons on your machine should be about the same.

Thats where I got it from. However be careful when editing your registry, it might ruin your system

There was nothing on the HotStartButtons folder. Used that regkey fix. It added some stuff, but nothing pertinent to these buttons. 5 items, in folders numbered from 1 through 5. The values in each one are:
    c:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe /directmedia:music
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PowerDVD.exe"
    c:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe /directmedia:discplayback
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe"

    Useless and unrelated.

Where can I find this program you speak of? AFAIK the M15x and the M17x are the same.

Ended up finding out the same thing as Batboy while looking through the registry after my last post :p
And I tested the stuff myself. With that constant fear of screwing up, even though I had backuped it all... *facepalm*
