    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to view a Blu ray disc on my new M17x.

The drive I have installed is: HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA10N SCSI

Can I play Blu ray discs with it?

When I put a cd in, In "My Computer" nothing moves and PowerDVD sais I Have to insert a disc.

There's probably something wrong with your drive. IT should be able to read blu-ray disks with no problem. I'd contact Dell support.

It has two seperate lenses, one for DVD/CD, and another for Blu, as they use a completely diffferent type of laser; as the name would suggest, blu-ray use a blue laser, and normal laser is red :)

Is there a driver for these Blu-ray drives? or maybe files that I can replace?

Sounds like the drive just isn't working.

Call Dell to get a new one
