The new official Catalysts are out and it seems like theres a new driver for Windows 7 (mobility version of course)![]()

Seems like ATI is going to support notebook users for its Windows 7 version which is a good thing![]()
If/when someone uploads a modded version for vista and/or a tweaked version (full screen scaling) please post it so i can update this post![]()

That's good news. I look forward to getting W7 since I liked the RC so much.
-
Yea
Hate all the modding for every driver. The only thing i havent yet confirmed is if theres a scaling problem with their drivers and if its possible to fix it with CCC since the settings should work now

patch notes say 12% boost in multi-gpu setups.
unfortunately I have been unable to get it working on my W90 so far. -
Will these run on vista by any chance (by manually installing the inf'?)
Cheers

Yeap, to get them working for Vista just download the desktop drivers (vista ones) then use the mobility modder.

nice. ive been playing crysis on high 1280x1024. i noticed a big drop in performance when you get to start fighting the aliens. maybe this driver will fix dat

PS: how mutch will the performance suffer when I run the taskmanager on the second LCD during running a benchmark? -
it shouldnt kill performance at all..maybe a few points....when i had dual lcd setup i stayed about the same
i see no improvement in crysis warhead at all....still only peforms like im using a single gpu and isnt playable at all -
I am just running Crysis Benchmark and I did a test yesterday but didn't save anything^^ But as far as I can "see" during the test Crysis runnes a good pice more fluently maxed out

RESULTS!
Some time ago I did this Comparison and the fastes driver for Crysis was Catalyst 8.10 with 17,31 FPS @ DX10, 64bit and 1280x720 AA=16xQ
This time with 9.6, even without shutting something down, I got this! (same settings)
Impressive
19,76More than +2,4 FPS (2,45
)
I know sb said the beta drivers would increas the temps but I think this version doesn't:
I hope this realy little test can give you some impression
After a short sleeping brake for my selfe I'll test how it feels
