    Hey guys, just found out that if you buy any Alienware desktop above $4000 you get a free Laptop Area-51 m9750.
    If you dont believe me configure it yourself, and after clicking add to cart, it will show the laptop as free gift.

    Nice if that's what you were planning... but daaaaamn that's a lot of money for a free laptop! And for only 8700 GT's.

    That's what I mean... free notebook is cool, having to spend $4,000 to get it isn't so much, haha.

    If you spend $8000 (which is pretty easy to configure) do you get two notebooks? Edit: Just tried, Nope....

    That's a steal! Not literally.. but legitimately. If only I could go back in time 6 months..would now have a laptop and desktop. But yea..what's that say about the markup in their desktops? :p

    lol yea i hated the tax. i built my computer the first time i was liek whoo nice price then bam 300 dollars tax i coulda got a better screen for that :(

    tax is what kills you thats how they make their money besides it should be buy an computer worth $4,000 and get a free m17 yeah that sounds alot better

    Uhm.. you realize what you just said? You said they make their money off of taxes. Those taxes are collected from you, then paid to the proper governments. They don't get to keep the taxes. Ignorance is bliss though.

    Yeah, really. If you had said they make their money off shipping, I might believe you... for a $4,000 computer, know how much the charge for shipping? $400 freaking dollars :eek:

    Shipping is expensive though... but still... big companies like Dell get breaks with their shipping, I can't possibly see how it costs that much.

    These things are pretty heavy.. I think the OCZ was 15lbs or so.. without any extra BS crammed in from OCZ - So, I'd believe it's expensive. However, I only spent $160 on overnight shipping via FedEx. I think they underestimated the weight, they sent it as 14lbs - and FedEx almost delayed it cause it was overweight *shrugs*
