Oh yea and if you haven't bought it already, get Dragon Age Origins. It's really good.
You actually bought that piece of crap? Even worse, for PC? -
-
I am joining: new to gaming but excited to learn and this seems like a great way to go -- at least I'll know the people kicking the c**p out of me! You can't have an Alienware and not game: should be in the purchase agreement.

Pretty much every game is available through Steam. I like it because you don't need a CD installed and you can redownload your game at anytime on anymachine you log into.
They also have some rediculous sales sometimes. I might pick up the Rockstar collection. It is every Rockstar game (all GTAs and some others like Manhunt) for $100.
They are having 50% and 25% sales right now on a ton of titles. I might also get the Lucas Arts Premier pack.
As for MMORPGs, I am currently playing Aion and it is pretty good if you can deal with the PvPvE and don't mind some grinding at the higher levels. -

COD4 = AWESOME, MW2 = LAME. No servers, matchmaking is terrible and spotty at best, noobs who get pwn'd get a handicap, single player is AWESOME, but 4-5 hours will do it. Not even close to the package it's predecessor was, straight port form dumbed down console versions.

I'll see you all around there soon
edit: when Steam's sale ends ? -
They are having a sale every day for the next 5 days. 24 hours each. About 12 titles or collections.... the THQ collection they have up right now for $49 is epic.
-

By the way, I can pay and process everything today, but it doesn't mean that I have to download everything immediately , right ? It's just that I never bought a game from steam before ... Thx -

I have also been out of touch with PC gaming for a LONGGGG time, but I finally have a machine where I can game on.
When I get my kb & mouse delivered, and my monitor arrives I wont be seeing much of the outside world for a while.
COD4 and LFD2 will be two I am definitely getting, borderlands looks ok too, anyone played it and can comment??
Wow , just saw the valve complete package for sale on steam and it looks EPIC! I think I will be buying that
Anyway my SN = Jolli86 add me up, I should be set up and ready in the next week or so. -

Thank you for the Group!

I joined Steam a number of months ago but haven't bought a game from them and was wondering how the games perform?? -
Question about the Steam Sale... I'm at a public computer so would it be possible to say buy the titles now and just DL them once my M15x finally (if ever) arrives?
-
Yes Avengement
-
Alright, so far I've bought Dragon Age Origins, Aion, Left 4 Dead 2, Far Cry 2, Dead Space & Grid.
I'm hoping Steam will have a discount one of these comin days on Crysis, GTA4 & Resident Evil 5. After that I'll be satisfied
Now I'm just waiting for the laptop then it's GAME ON! xD -
I am going to get the Rockstar collection, but I am going to watch for the next few days to see if it goes on sale. -
Can you buy and install all the games on the thq, lucas or rockstar packs at the sametime, or is there not enough memory in a 4g, are you able to install and download them all and have them ready on your desktop at all times or do you have to do a few at a time, Thanks
-
You can have every single game in the steam library installed as long as you have enough hard drive space. -
Steam comes in handy if your on a long or extended buisness trip because you can download and install whatever game you are in the mood for on whatever computer you happen to have with you.
-
I've never really used steam before. This is great because I am always installing and unistalling old games and I always lose the CD Keys... Gonna pick up the THQ pack and L4D2. Maybe even KOTOR because it is 3 dollars haha. I love sweet sales.
-
im in it, i go under the name Tributary though haha
-
Far Cry 2 was yesterday i think i bought it for 9.99 (Hope you got it already)
Left for Dead 2 was Yesterday also for 32.99 or somthing like that.
Left for dead original is on sale today for 7.49.
Hope you got dead Space also i know i saw it already.
I am hoping for GTA 4 also
I was thinking about buying the THQ Pack, not sure yet. Still have time to debate. Such a good deal though like 300+ dollars off.
So far i have bought: Left for Dead 2 (From gamestop though before sale) 32.99 out door, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (Love this old school game.) it was 2.99Last if FaryCry 2 i got it for 9.99.
-
The THQ pack is definitely tempting but of all the games listed I only play frontlines (already own it) and saints row 2.
