Heya, So i have installed Windows 7 Beta 64bit on my m15x. All is going well except for problems with the command center. I installed it, and it didnt light up the keyboard, so i uninstalled it, applied the keyboard lightning patch ("m15x_ripley_model.reg") and then reinstalled the Command Center. No difference.

I then tried to uninstall the Command Center again, I was unable to and got an error saying "The installation source for this product is not available, verify that the source exists and you can access it. C:\Windows\installer\3cc36.msi"

I then decided to try and reinstall the thing by just using the downloaded Command Center 1033 file, this doesnt work either cause it "cant find some temporary file" of some kind.

This is not the bad part about this though, the bad part is that the AlienFusionController (part of the command center) is a memory leak. It increases the use of my RAM until i have to manually turn it off in the task manager processes.

Is this a Virus or just a faulty installation? How do i get rid of the command center, and hopefully reinstall it to light up my keyboard again.

Any help is very appreciated! Thanks!

Btw. while u are reading, i am having really bad performance in World Of Warcraft: WOTLK aswell (5-30 FPS) with my m15x, any ideas how to improve? I get bad FPS even while having all effects on low, so low that in raiding environment it becomes unplayable (6-12 FPS).

You just dont install Command Center on Win7. First thing its not developed for Win7. Second thing it does not work perfectly on Vista itself so leave apart 7 :)

Its buggy and leak memory a lot, I had a previous thread and tried to hook into Fusion and see that its leaking memory at very rapid rate. Never thought of debugging and finding the root cause.

If you only care about changing color then you may use AuroraLightsFX.
See "AlienFX Tools and Applications" from my signature and give it a shot.
