I called an Alienware rep and ordered a M17x computer on Sept. 11. I was told it would be delivered on Oct 10. I was asked if I had ever ordered from Dell before and I said many years ago. They found my name and updated my address and information. I was told to check on the dell website as to my order status. I checked a few times and it said in production. After reading some of the posts here I figured I might see it a little early. When I checked yesterday, I saw it said order cancelled. Today it said I had no orders in the que. I called yesterday and the rep was saying it was still in production. I called today and they said it would be here on friday. It was already shipped and gave me the fedex number. I checked the number and sure enough should be here friday. But the website still says the order is cancelled. I just called a few mins ago and rep tells me again order is stil in production. I am so confused talking to the reps one says its on the way the other were still building it. Anyone ever experience this or have problems with Dell?

Phone again... you shouldn't stop phoning 'til you get a clear and positive answer.

I can't see that your M17x will be delivered only two weeks later.

    Mine might be early.

But two weeks as of ordering? Hell, who's been that lucky?

I had mine expedited at factory and got free next day air shipping, but like I said

    Ordered 7/31/09
    Received 8/11/09

I do remember though getting a message saying mine got canceled, that is when I called in (and acted all panicky for the rep) and got the expedited and shipping upgrade :). Happened 2 days after ordering I think

    Hi Kalvin,
I wouldn't worry too much about what is listed on the website. The representatives have more detailed information than what is posted in your profile. Also, keep in mind that there may be some comfusion about the status of your order, being that most representatives don't know the "actual state" (they only see that it's in production or shipped). If you have already received a tracking number, rest assured that it is coming.

    Thanks,
    Gabe
