I've read somewhere on this forum that a new 175.xx driver is out for the 8800M GTX but I'm not sure if we still need to use the original drivers supplied by alienware? Has anyone used the new drivers - anything to report?

    Thanks

the new drivers seems to not keep the video card running at full speeds all the time. when you play a game the speed will jump back up. since the video card can now downclock when you are not using it, your m15x should not be a bit cooler when idle.
