    Hi all,

Probably a really stupid question but my status has just changed to shipped with a link to UPS tracking. However, the UPS tracking shows me that the laptop is in the USA (Im in the UK), while the packing note shows that it was dispatched from Ireland?

Does the Dell site link to the wrong UPS site for a UK delivery?

    TIA

    Arabella

Alot of people are having this issue check on List everyone M17x-R2 ETA. It due to a dvd rom drive. Frist one have been faulty. That why they are delayed.

I had that as well. I don't know exactly where it is shipped from originally. I had that US address since friday, but this morning my UPS tracking finally updated, and I will have it today.

I am pretty sure UK and France is using same tracking system at UPS, so expect 3-4 days before it is updating. So you might even have the system on your door before it updates again.

I don't think it has anything to do with the DVD drive delay. If you have the UPS tracking number, you're good to receive the system in about 3-4 days.

(what is a bit "not so funny" is that the UPS car parked outside just now. I nearly fell off my chair. Out comes the driver with a tiny packet. The USB mouse. grrrrrr, the laptop is still in Paris and will come tomorrow.)

Thanks - just confused as to why it seemed to be going via the USA according to UPS. Seems to be an issue with Dell's link to UPS. Tracking number works if you go to the UPS site for your particular country rather than follow the Dell link.

No hard feelings, I laughed myself. My colleagues laughed even more, they saw my face when the UPS car stopped, and I started to brag about the awesome hardware I was about to show them. They were not impressed by the small mouse I showed them! I guess I'll just go to the pub tonight for the last time in weeks :D
