I'm considering purchasing an Area-51 M9750 laptop and have a couple of questions I'm hoping someone here might be able to answer (I have no experience whatsoever with Alienware products!):

    1. Is this laptop compatible with the 64-bit version of Windows 7? It's not listed as being compatible on Dell's website and, in fact, there are only 2 models of Alienware laptops listed at all on the driver's download page (the M17x and the M15x)! Are there Windows 7 64-bit drivers I would need for this laptop that I can get somewhere?

2 This laptop does have the capacity for 2 internal hard-drives - correct?

    Thanks!

Correct, it can handle 64 bit Windows 7, it also should have room for dual hard drives.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you paying for this?

Only reason I ask is I have M17 that is brand new (newer version of the M9750)

    PM me if you're interested.

I'm unable to PM you; probably because my post you responded to was my very first! You can try to PM me, if you'd like!

The listing says it has an "Intel Core [email protected] T5500" processor.

I decided to purchase a Gateway P-7805u FX laptop I found on eBay that was factory refurbished by Gateway for $835.00 instead of the Alienware I was thinking of. I decided to buy the Gateway because I'm more familiar with it than I am with the Alienware (in fact, I just last week sold my Gateway P-6864 FX laptop, which was a 15.4" version of the P-7805u FX without the high-performance parts!), it had all the high-performance components I was looking for (including THE most important - the WUXGA, 1920x1200 screen!!) and I'm almost positive I can upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit without any problems! It was also in my budget!

Thanks to everyone for your help with my questions! I'm sure I'll be posting over in the Gateway section now!
