    Just got my new alienware m9750 laptop yesterday
    512mb Nvidia Geforce go 8700m gt
    1920 x 12000 lcd
    Vista ultimate

    how do i change the contrast and brightness of the lcd?

    The brightness can be changed by pressing the Function (Fn) key and F7 (down) and F8 (up). You can change the contrast by following Dready's directions.
