The Core i7 ULV's are supposed to be out soon or now even. Do you think alienware will make a refreshed m11x to include these? They are supposed to turbo boost to like 2.5ghz. I'm looking for a portable laptop to take with me to school, trips, and when i'm on the go. I currently do that with my m17x but lugging around that huge thing + the 2 extra spare batteries is a hassle and im lucky if I get 2 hours per battery so only like a max of 6 hours with all 3 batteries. So you think if i wait these will be put into the m11x with a refresh this summer maybe?

New technology comes out everyday, I mean the ULV core i5 and i7 have just been announced. Considering this, you can wait for a refresh, but as most people on these forums will tell you the M11x has only been out 2 months. I doubt alienware will make a refresh of the unit by summer using the core i5 or i7 ULVs. Maybe fall is the soonest you'll see them, but I think the refresh will happen in a year if not later. Just my 2 cents :D

I don't think an i7 will be able to be placed in something of the m11xs' size, maybe an i5 or i3 but yeah i7 is pushing it a bit..but you never know it is alienware after all...

The rumours point at a new release around September.

So, it won't be any time particularly soon.

The M11x as it is though is a great machine. The C2D ULVs, overclocked to 1.73GHz, aren't exactly slow-even for gaming for the most part.
