What do you need to know? I just installed one the other day.

Right after the clean install make sure to turn of disk defrag (if windows doesn't automatically) and also disable indexing.

You can also change the pagefile to your secondary hdd and also disable superfetch

Yep exactly, but you want to do this to the whole drive. Under my computer right click the ssd drive and go into properties. There will be a box to unselect for indexing.

I would also suggest hopping over to the OCZ forums for their drives because they have a TON of guides and info about setting up a new SSD for use (not just OCZ ones!)

You can use the alienware discs, Although I'm not sure if they properly align the partition like a regular windows 7 disc would.

I would go as far as to recommend downloading a windows 7 ISO or borrowing a friend's generic windows 7 disc (any version) just to boot and format the drive first, Then switch back to the alienware install disc (or USB Drive) to perform the OS load.

The key about SSD drives is that there is one tweak to perform Pre-Install, And a few to do Post Install, But the install itself is like any other HDD you would work with.

Here is a great guide to installing windows on a Vertex drive from OCZ but the process would be the same with intel SSD drives. Just make sure to check intel's website for any firmware updates before you begin the install.

You will be fine using the restore discs, win 7 automatically aligns the partitions. With the respawn cd your laptop will look exactly the same as it came from the factory, meaning all drivers and software will be already installed. If you use the OS cd then it will be a complete fresh install and you will need to download the drivers.
