    Could someone try the 3870HD's on M9750!

    Could someone try to install a 3870 card on their M9750 to see if it would even fit, or work. Pls post pics also im considering buying one. Currently own a M9750.

    no dice. wrong MXM-connector, too much power draw, possibly even too big in terms of size.

    in any case, no one's gotten their m17 yet, and even if they do, i'm not sure if anybody would void their warranty just to test this.

    The coming HD4850 has the same MXM slot as the M9750, that may work if power and thermal requirements are met.

    that's a pretty big IF, seeing how the HD4850 will probably be the most powerful mobile card ever produced.
