Some of you may have read the posts i made before ( here ), my M15x had a gap on the abve the USB and a crack on the left hinge. My alienware computer was fixed and it seemed it was fine. But now, there is a gap above the USB port. and the left hinge is also getting a gap. So im worried that it may break again. Now, i just cant believe that I gave so much money on a machine that should have a min 4 year life spawn, exactly $2,660.
The new body was suppose to be made from the new batch, and I was promised it would not break again.

Well, if you were PROMISED then for sure you should be upset. Send it back.

If this issue is really happening to enough people eventually it will happen to a person with the means to start a class action lawsuit. Last I read from Alienware this has affected less than 5% of the owners. I guess the whole 5% is here on NBR or that number is really much larger.
Some one should start a poll (if it doesn't exist already) on who owns a m15x and whether or not they have been affected by the gap and crack or hinge issue. It would be interesting to see what the percentage is here on NBR. -
I have had my m15x since July last year. Ordered it through Alienware UK, had a lot of problems with their billing department at first, but it eventually got resolved. Order arrived 2 days after they shipped it out.
Have heard of a lot of horror stories with the hinge, hence why I decided to do a lil extra reinforcement for it. My fix can be found in this link:

It's been great so far, can't really say that the m15x has that much competition when it comes to it's flexibility. -
though, i want a secure system point blanc, without buying anything else. -
I have had mine since December. sent back once due to blown speaker and replaced a dysfunctional fan on the right side. everything else has been butter. But that is mostly due to me knowing ALOT about the m15x, throught this site, before I even bought it.
