    Hi all,

Usually I won't create new threads for anything new, maybe some would noticed that. I just call Alienware earlier today talking about the delay of m15x which caused by backorders of their chassis or casing whatever they call. I have some feelings this could have something to do with the cracking issue that was on Engadget awhile ago.

I noticed on Chaz's review about the self-fix keyboard flex problems and some users mentioned about how m15x creaks alot. So my concern is do Alienware alert about this issue or they don't? Is this something that we have to live on with or Alienware is actually (or eventually will be) looking into this matter?

    Thank you in advance guys.

it sounds like they think, the cracks are only a problem of few customers or someone run mad after playing crysis and hit the notebook ;) For me it looks like that there will be more people have problems maybee in few month, so i would like to hear an official statement from AW if a broken chassis will be repaired for free ( incl. shipping ).
I dont care for the gap, but a crack looks really bad and nobody will buy the notebook later on.

I sent those keyboard flex and case "ruggedness" issues to the m15x email address they set up, but they never responded to them directly.

There is a fix on this forum where you put something behind the keyboard and stops the flex. I don't know why Alienware doesn't fix this themselves!

That and looks like a fair number of review mentioning about how the screen easily wobbles and creaks alot. That will not only annoy the owner but also say people around you (it's notebook so don't expect it to be only own our room or desk).

I received my new 'puter last week. I am experiencing none of these issues. If by "creak" they mean the almost not noticable sound when you open the lid, then I have that. But, my lid is firm in holding it's position and I think that firmness is a cause of the slight sound.
    No overheating
    No cracks
No flexing ( I even tried to find this one)

If these issues existed,,,,,,they're fixed now.

Maybe because it's only a week old. Of course not everyone is experiencing the same thing but when there are some numbers, it should be something that concerned not just us, but also Alienware.

It's good to hear it's nothing wrong. That means *maybe* those issues are solved. Hope at least Alienware could respond to this issue, rather than running away from problem and concern (since someone in this thread mentioned he asked Alienware directly regarding this matter, but they never really answer his question).

    Xenon,

it's good to know u r ok with it but from general point of view any product shouldn't be broken within what, 2 weeks of ownerships. That means the built quality is something lower say from cheaper brands say from Dell, HP and others. They charge you premium price, and yet you get the most fragile laptop a company could offer.

So lowest built quality with premium price means, that doesn't sound like a business to me, that's a ripoff or fraud if you want to call that.

and some note, I want Black SkullCap m15x, so when I commented like that doesn't mean I hate or anti-AW, I just want them to improve what they can since they are known for being top quality high-end brand. So these issues should be there in the first place.
