That is an awesome desk top cooler. I started to design one of my own, but stopped while it was in the planning stages.

Thank you all for the support again for those of you that did not read previous post, I will have "detailed" guide during the summer on how to make one quite fast and easily. I've made many mistakes while making this which I won't make again. I would not want anyone to go through them...

This is a simple Marvelous work !

    Well done!

One question thou - what is it on the right under the table?
It looks like a Car audio system.. but I guess its fan-speed/temperature thingie..

I wanted to add one of these fancy things to my laptop's stand but I do not know how to interface it with the laptop since obviously, the laptop does not have the same connectors as desktop.

Again - awesome work, and congratulations on learning curve! I am myself experiencing one too with laptop re-painting and its one hell of a ride :D

    -Mel

I think you are referring to the fan controller on the right. It controls the fans of which blow the air into the laptop but does not have anything to do with the laptop fans.

Painting a laptop I am sure is quite some work... How did that go?

    Yeah it could...

I am working on a new glass version with more light effects and more sleek. I found a company that cuts glass and makes it tempered glass for relatively cheap.

I will update the guide towards the end of the summer.

Woah, that's nothing short of amazing work. You should think about selling something like this, at least locally for starters.

    AWESOME!

I'm trying to find the shelf and the stand you used for the desk, but I can't ;[

Could you give some specifics on what the pieces you bought from IKEA were? I can tell that the countertop was Numerar because of the manual on the floor in one of the pics.. But the rest I'm still at a loss for.

I'm inspired to make one of my own! Maybe I'll just go to IKEA and try to find materials, lol.

    First post!

Have you thought about a built in lcd in the desk? Similar to what the M1730 had. Be great if it was usb, then would work with any pc. I used the lcd on my m1730 alot, and bought a g13 mainly for the lcd.

sadly doing a such thing would be extremely complicated or completely useles as the games are not made to suport our custom 3rd party version

how ever making it to monitor temps/fan speed could be done but that will be an other project or a later feature
