This isn't the first time this has happened. In the past, I have enquired about buying the SmartBay battery pack among other things and gotten no replies. But this time, I made a technical enquiry:

My m15x is beginning to overheat as the fans and heat vents are beginning to get dusty. Where I currently am, I have no access to compressed air or
any handheld vacuums. How can I clean out the fans? I am relatively experienced with hardware, would you recommend I remove the fans and clean it manually?
Please contact me as soon as posible regrading this matter.
Thanks."
As you can see, it was 5 days ago and the notification email declared that they would reply within 72 hours. It appears as if AW doesn't quite give a anymore, and frankly I've had quite enough of it. So much for the award winning support from a premier gaming brand.
As a side note, can anyone help out with the issue at hand?

I would recommend selling the system before your hinges break and getting something more reliable.... (and newer)
If not, clean out the fan/fins and apply new thermal paste. If you do not have access to canned air.....god knows where you must be then....I would get ahold of some, or take the heatsink off and clean it with water and then let it dry and re-install it. -

how to open it up
then take a damp cloth and whipe all the dust out -
Why not just phone the CS though? Most companies i've found are pretty bad at responding to e-mails.

why waste time emailing ,.....
although if you have no canned air you may not have a phone ( would be very very strange though ) -

I wish I was still in Malaysia. I'm currently in India for my studies. I think the shopkeepers here would think I'm insane if I asked for canned air. And calling would also cost a bomb thanks to the wonderful international phone rates available here.
I was afraid that removing it would require me to apply new thermal paste. I don't have access to that either. Would a hairdryer do the trick? I really have to go MacGyver here. -
You just need to open the bottom and whips the cvents and heatsink with a damp cloth
-
its pretty easy to get canned air or thermal paste in india........u just need to search for a computer hardware store..........which city are u in right now........ -
don't use hair dryer or vacuum cleaner they might damage the fan...........and hold the fan while spraying canned air on it don't let it spin......... i lost my fan last time i did that on my my gpu fan......and guess what it took alienware 2 months to send me a replacement...........
