What is the approximate cost (for duty) for getting one shipped to Canada?

Supposedly, there is no duty for shipping to Canada, even though it will still be shipped from states.
There shouldn't be duties anyways for things built in America.

you don't get a choice of courier.

As someone who owns an Alienware in Canada, I can officially state, there are no brokerage, duity or customs costs for the user. I believe, that when I investigated my shipping label, when I got my system, it said to charge all customs fees to source... so no matter what happens, the amount you paid AW, is the only fee.

I believe its because you already prepaid the taxes during checkout.

my m15x had $0 duty on it. because you pay canadian taxes @ alienware.ca

when u pay tax on something, pst/gst, but it's from another country, you never have to pay duty. in that sense it's like buying from a canadian retailer, in regards to shipping

only if your buying something and you just pay for the item, not paying tax, or not paying canadian taxes, for example, say they charged you VAT, you would pay duty
