I've had my M17x Since October and noticed the audios shuttering from day one.
My spec are qx9300 280sli and 8 GB 1066
Ive read a lot of info here and have found a few things on my own and We are dealing with two different problems with dpc latency
1st the 4k spikes every 2 secs
2nd the huge 60k+ spikes that cause the audio and video to shutter.
The 4k spikes are caused by a CPU thermal read method error in the bios
60k spikes are from power saving mode of the video cards as posted here. "PowerMizer"
My DPC looked like this before the thermal read method was fixed in the bios

Now it looks like this, note the syncing of the delay with PowerMizer kicking in.

I think the reason some people have reported shuttering in some games but not others is because the games dont use the 2nd card or dont use it very well so it goes into power saving mode and then you get the shutter.
The only way Ive found around this is to force Anti Aliasing on in SLI mode in at least 4x. this will put a 2x load on each card and should keep it from going into power saving mode.
I used nHancer to do this. Once you have the profile for the game under the Enhancement tab force Anti aliasing to SLI and 4x or more.
I only play WoW and the audio and video shutter was a big problem for me, but once I changed this I dont have the shutter.

Here is the thread already dealing with this subject, try to post your ideas there so more people can get together and collaberate on the matter
