So i have read about broken hinges issues and i heard that they have resolved the issues in the newer laptops. I was wondering if its worth it to buy this laptop? And also, if i buy the laptop, can i just get the RAM and Hard drive myself and replaced them? Because i don't wanna buy it from them as they are overpriced. For the video card, is it better to get the FX 3600 or 9800 GT?

u can upgrade the RAM and HD yourself yes....but i doubt they would sell a unit without such items... :)

if your gaming, go with the 9800. if your doing CAD or other such productivity with your unit, then get the 3600.

depends....most say it is not worth it...and they are prob right.
i got it as a just in case scenerio. if for some reason the memory i had ordered with it was the only available due to various reasons then the 1G turbo along with the 1G RAM would be enought to run office suites and vista...
but all in all - prob not worth its weight in gold if you do not need the 'just in case' clause.

Do you know how long it will take them to ship over the notebook ? like 3-5 days or like 2-3 weeks?
