This problem started rather randomly a number of days ago.

I've had my M17x for a little less than a year now. No problems to speak of. Now, for some weird reason, I get massive slowdown whenever I switch over from the GPU graphics processor (NVIDIA GeForce 9400) to the dedicated card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M). My CPU usage spikes radically, whenever I do anything graphic-intensive. From playing games (which are currently unplayable with discrete graphics enabled), to selecting icons on the desktop.

Can anyone offer me any advice as to how to go about solving this strange issue?
